The micro powder is very smooth. The color I chose (chrome) looks too light on the applicator, but I can see the vivid color just after one coat, and the color stays long. For the bold colors I use MAC's eyeshadow, but for pastel colors, I like Dior's color selection.

I have 3 of these and they come on very very sheer. But, if you like sparkle, the sparkly ones are great and almost look like your wearing glitter.
