This is just another moisturizer with SPF. There are lots on the market and my preferred one is made by Bliss. It is rich and really a good moisturizer. I use a separate spf 30 sunscreen.

NOT A GOOD MOISTURIZER
Hope in a Jar is basically like just applying regular sunscreen. It doesn't moisturize at all, and is really difficult to absorb into skin. I have gone back to just using a separate sunscreen and moisturizer.
