Great hair color!
I have natural red hair that I love, but every once in awhile I crave a bit of a change. I always do the allergy test and the strand test with at home hair dye. You can't disregard the instructions then blame the product with the whole thing goes awry! I have used this kit a couple times to get a slightly different shade of red and add some subtle highlights. I never strayed too far from my natural hair color so this always came out very nicely on me. Not enough words for awful, not only did I not get any where close to the color I wanted, i didn't even get color I got brass. It's terrible, and I wouldn't trust this on my dog. I thought hair dye was suppose to dye hair?? Not destroy it and make you want to scream. This is supposed to be medium brown but it's a dark brown with subtle reddish or bronze tint, depending on the lighting. Great base color if you like dark hair but not harsh black. Usually dark brown hair dye has too much red tones and it's not dark enough. The base color is just perfect. As for the highlights it did not turn out blondish as shown on the box. I would definitely buy this again just for the base color. There was more than enough dye for my long straight hair, 1/3rd down my back. Amazingly easy to use
I used this product for the first time two weeks ago (in Cherry Cordial) and I was happier with the results than I've ever been with a hair dye, and I'm including trips to the salon. At first I was nervous because the base coat was darker than what I wanted, but after I added the highlights the color looked just as it did on the box, and it's stayed bright--not easy for red hair dye. Medium irridescent blonde
This saves me soooo much money at the salon...it looks professional and multidimensional. Covers grey beautifully and the highlights are easy with their directions. Just wish I could buy EXACTLY the same base color for in between touch ups . I used this product years ago because I wanted highlights in my hair but didn't want to pay big bucks at a salon for them.
