I bought the Mason Pearson Pocket Size Nylon & Bristle brush just to see what all the hullabaloo was about. As a poor college student, I used to use a knock-off BASS brush that I got at Whole Foods, but Folica's 20%-off discount and free shipping made this luxury hairbrush affordable for me. I have wavy hair that hits my mid-back, and the Pocket Size is large enough to do the job. Previous to usin...read moreg this brush, my hair would get dry at the ends and had noticeable damage. I use this brush to shine my hair and to strip away any split ends or damage. My only complaint is that the boar bristles bend easily and it is a very *delicate* tool to have. To ensure that this brush works for me, I make sure to use it only on dry, already-brushed, hair. The fact that this brush would not be durable without great care is why I give it 8 starts and not 10, but that is just my honest opinion. Great brush!
This brush is so amazing! I have never had a brush that was as amazing as this one. It is so easy to brush my hair with this brush. Great brush!! Helps a lot with frizz, shine and doesn't snag hair! Its price is very high for a brush, you will be happy you broke down and made the purchase!! I'm Italian and Arabic with very thick, wavy, frizzy hair and I haven't found a brush better then this!! Nice brush

No tangling
My hair is very thin and tears very easily. I have to use a special brush, and you're looking at it! When I found this brush, it made such a difference in how badly my hair tangles. It doesn't "snag" my hair, and it feels really good on my scalp. Great performance, poor boar bristle quality
Yes, it really does wonders to the hair, but the boar bristles' quality is poor. I am very careful when I dry clean it and despite that 3-4 boar bristles fell off. The boar bristles bend very easily and are really fragile.
