Perfect, All-Day Coverage
If you can only afford one high end make-up item, let it be this foundation. I feel like I have used just about every drugstore foundation and I always had a problem with my eyeliner migrating down my face by 3pm. I tried Urban Decay primer potion, and waterproof liner, and nothing could keep my eyes perfect through the end of the work day, until this. The dry down of this foundation is perfectly ...read morematte, and it stays where you put it. I'm pretty sure that what was happening with the drugstore foundations is that they weren't staying entirely in place, and eventually the cheaper moisturizers in them would make contact with my liner, and whole thing would become a mess. I'd also like to clarify that I don't have oily skin, I have particularly dry skin. With the drugstore foundation I would attempt to get longevity, by setting with a powder, but not only was it an extra step, it looked worse because the powder would settle in my fine lines (I'm 27). I don't feel like the Mac settles into my little lines, in fact I feel like the coverage is so beautiful that it makes me look a little younger. At Mac they will try to sell you primer and a powder, but I've found that I don't need anything else to get the foundation to last all day; I put it directly on top of my morning moisturizer and it's on till I take it off! I feel that the coverage is at a perfect level; it evens out my skin tone, covers blemishes, and you COULD build it under your eyes to erase all trace dark circles, but I'm impatient and find it quicker to put a tiny dab of Mac concealer over my circles, on top of the foundation. One last thing, don't be discouraged if you end up with the wrong color the first time, I ended up with a bottle that was one shade too orange for me. I took it back and they replaced it with a better color for me- the best extra effort for make-up I have ever spent. This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

HEAVY!
The coverage of this product really doesn't do it for me. I have some mild acne scarring on my face that this foundation couldn't even cover and yet, it managed to feel very heavy on me. It almost felt like I was wearing a mask because I had to layer on quite a bit. So considering the yucky feeling of wearing it coupled with poor coverage, it is definitely not worth the price in my book. Even if i...read moret had been perfect coverage, I don't think I could have dealt with the texture of this foundation. The best i can compare it to is stage make-up. Since this is a department store brand, if you are curious about trying this foundation then I recommend testing it before purchasing to see how it reacts with your skin. This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

MAC does it again :)
I am skeptical about liquid foundations because I have oily skin so I thought they would only make it worse. I was using a drugstore brand for a while, mostly because it was cheap and it got the job done (daytime- for work) and if I needed heavier coverage I would use the MAC Studio Fix Powder. So one day while visiting my boyfriend- I completely forgot all of my make up. So we went to the Mall an...read mored I purchased this product. The sales person matched me almost too perfectly and did my entire face. It was like second skin. She applied a thin layer and it was like I wasn't wearing make up at all. I still had some scars from acne which were not as visible (and I could just cover with concealer), but I remember that the told me that it was build-able make up. I use it everyday now, am I'm still in love. It evens out my skin so much that I don't know why I waited so long. The only negative thing about this is that you have to purchase the pump separately. This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 5 people said helpful
