petroleum jelly naturally forms on oil rigs
Seriously, this stuff is a byproduct of the oil industry - don't put it on your body. It'll just sit on top of your skin and clog your pores. Great for everything!

I can't believe petro jelly is recommended by you for a facial moisturizer. Research at the Herb Research Foundation noted that skin absorbs up to 60 percent of the chemicals in products that it contacts and these chemical move directly into the bloodstream. Petrolatum May Cause Premature Aging as well. Absorption of these petro products can increase free radicals that can cause the skin and organs to age at a rapid rate or wear prematurely. Petrolatum found in many cosmetics can cause skin irritations, acne and rashes. Skin that does not receive sufficient oxygen as noted in the Herb Research on skin suffocation can cause the death of skin cells and thus premature aging to skin cells. A lasting classic
Vaseline definitely has tons of great uses that have been used for years. My favorite use for the jelly is as a small buffer from rubbing spots on my shoes! If I'm wearing heels, putting just a small amount (we're talking small) on the sides of my heels and wherever my heels might rub (peep toe spots etc). Perfection
I loveeee using Vaseline! It's a great moisturizer for chapped lips, giving it a natural look and you don't have any gross excess look. I wouldn't recommend it as a facial moisturizer as it's easier to go overboard and look oily. It's also really good for removing eye makeup! Just use a little bit on a Q-tip and voila!
