Ta-Da! Presto! As Seen On...Grandma's Medicine Cabinet?
I used to leave this product on my bathroom counter untouched. Then one day I was watching a talk show segment and found the multiple uses of this so being curious, I tried those tips out. Next tip, a lip balm - tested, it absolutely does the job. Another tip, a cracked and dry skin healer some said. Ok, so the method was to apply this liberally all over your feet and put socks on and what do you know, the next morning my feet felt softer. Ok, so basically this wrapped up having three or more products in one jar and without even going further and explaining more uses that I've found on the internet, this product is a different product than everything else because it has the least complex structure of ingredients and is a basic formulation that can be used universally saving you trips to the store and stress of finding and testing out other products. My Vaseline Trick...
All the bases have been pretty much covered in the other reviews, so I'll share my Vaseline tip. I slick this on my lips IMMEDIATELY after I brush my teeth when my lip skin is plumped and moist....the Vaseline soaks right in and keeps them very soft. It's such an ingrained habit.....and it keeps my lips looking beautiful. And it's my preferred go-to lip balm all day long....I also have it in tube form. Classic!
This stuff is just great, it's definitely a must have for your bathroom. There's countless uses for it, from eczema patches, to lip balm, cuticle cream, skin protectant from dyes, etc. The smell is a bit to be desired, but it's sure to invoke nostalgia in many people. Can't go wrong
This little tub can solve a multitude of dilemmas. From dry skin, to make up remover, to skin protectant. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this product. My main use for vaseline is to sla...read morether it along my skin right at my hair line and over my ears for when I color my hair at home every 2 weeks. I received a kit that contained lots of recommended uses, and some items to test out the recommended uses. I loved how soft my skin would feel after rubbing it on my hands or feet and leaving gloves or socks on overnight, but I have to admit, the feeling was bizarre and it was hard to fall asleep with socks/gloves on, but the softness of my skin the next morning let me know that I would have to do this before a vacation or when I want some really heavy moisturizing (hello winter harshness). One of my favorite uses, was to dab it on after applying cream blush to get some super glowing cheeks. There was also some coarse sea salt included which I mixed with the vaseline and then massaged/exfolliated myself in the shower (I did this on dry skin, and then washed). There was absolutely no need for the oil that I usually rub in right in the shower. My legs were the most hydrated they've ever been, and my skin had a more even look to it as well. I also swapped out my normal cuticle oil during a manicure and instead used the vaseline to give my cuticles a little massage, and it worked exceptionally well at not only hydrating, but also doubling as a barrier to any nail polish that would normally have dried to my skin. I also lightly dabbed it on over my foundation for a gorgeous dewy complexion, and slathered a bit more on to my face before I got in the shower, and after washing my face, my skin didn't get instantly tight, and retained an incredible amount of moisture and I seemed to need less foundation because it just glided on my skin. I have long used vaseline as eye make up remover, as it is the gentlest way to get the job done. I just pat some on my eyes, and swipe over with a face wipe and everything is gone and my eyes are grateful for the ease and no rubbing factor. Another amazing use was to put a bit on a q-tip and then lightly dab on the under eye, which worked well to hydrate and reduce the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes. Oh, and get this, have you ever tried to put it around the rim of your nail polish bottle? It keeps the polish from sticking on the bottle and making it get all clumpy or stuck. I used it after shaving my legs, rubbing it in to the skin, and then using a very warm washcloth over the skin, it locks in the moisture and allows it to really sink in.This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

The basics are best
I recently received a Vaseline Road Test from Total Beauty, I have a review based on my use of the product. I did a foot treatment with the Vaseline and found it to go on very smoothly. It of course is greasy so you have to put something underneath your feet. Then I put socks on. The treatment made them smooth and hydrated. excellent product

It has always been there for us
I did purchase another brand, and it was never used up. Vaseline is important for eczema sufferers, especially children who cannot tolerate other things put on their skin. I use it for my crafts, and when I need a barrier to protect my hands. In terms of makeup, I used it on my eyes, to take it off. The price is not expensive, considering the amount of uses, and store brands are not that much cheaper. I received this from Total Beauty in the smaller size later on, and now am updating this in December 2012. Versatile and Inexpensive
Recently I received Total Beauty's Vaseline Winter Rescue box, and I am now a huge fan of this product. It came with the Vaseline, sea salts, gloves, socks, a washcloth, and a Stila makeup palette that I just love.
