    The Original Beauty Favorite

Vasaline has more uses than I can even dream of making it a must have. In winter, my lips tend to get extremely dry but a fairly thick layer before bed does wonders!

    Vaseline and Chanel

I am almost 60 and have used vaseline/petroleum jelly forever. I first used it on my lips, then to remove eye make-up and later for an eye cream, to moisturize hands and feet, and for those red cheeks caused by too much wind and cold (particularly babies and toddlers in cold climates). I only started using an eye cream a couple of years ago, only a couple of fine lines, might as well stick with ...read morevaseline. As a teacher, I kept a jar in my desk drawer and used it on kids with a little scratch, dry patch, bruise, etc., minor things that did not need treatment, but the attention, and sometimes the product, almost always made them feel better. You can repair many, many of children's complaints with vaseline, a band-aid, or lifesaver candy for sore throat and/or cough (again, not for really sick, to soothe). I have worn Chanel 5 since I was 19, sometimes exclusively for years. When I was in the hospital, my little dog slept with a shirt of mine that had Chanel on it, he associated that smell with his mommy. The old and simple are the best.

The entire world has used Vaseline

This 'stuff' is used for everything. I bet everybody in the world has a bottle of Vaseline in their medicine cabinet. I have since I got married. Excellent stuff.

    Not for everything

I know that people like to use this for many things, but it is just too greasy. I use it for slathering on the bottom of my feet in the winter. I put on socks after. I don't like it for my lips, or as a regular moisturizer. It also stains and is very difficult to remove.

    Protectant for lady "parts"

A dab of Vaseline on certain sensitive lady parts, protects n acts as a shield to keep hair removal cream from burning those certain areas that don't require removal of hair. I just thought I'd share this tip that I figured out by experimenting

    Vaseline Petrolium Jelly

We always had Vaseline in the house growing up. My grandmother used to advise me to put Vaseline on and then white socks or white gloves to combat rough feet and or dry hands overnight as well as on knees and elbows. Also as an African American (we use it to protect our scalp and ears when processing our hair with chemical. Recently I started working in a Dermatology clinic and was surprised to...read more see that we advise the use of plain old Vaseline rather than any antibiotic ointments post proceedure to help keep the skin moist and protected! So now I am back on the Vaseline band wagon without doubt.

    It works Perfectly!

I recently tried Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. I had absolutely no issues with it! It worked fine for me and met all my needs. After all, when you think of Petroleum Jelly, you think of Vaseline.
