Thick, Rich Way to Long-Lasting Protection
It's the time of the year when lip balms can be seen on nearly every surface in my house, from bedroom to kitchen to living room. Even during mild days, my skin (and pout) are much drier now and need constant hydration. At night I can apply and wake up with my lips still lightly coated and definitely softened and repaired. Besides beeswax, lanolin, petrolatum and Cocoa Seed Butter as emollients, there is camphor in the formula which produces a pleasant tingling sensation (caution here: Camphor is one of the ingredients which make lip balm addictive, preventing your own lips from producing the normal amount of moisture they should). And there is an SPF factor of 15; moreover, Carmex is water-resistant for up to eighty minutes, so it makes it great for the outdoors. I love this stuff and would give it ten stars except for the camphor element. Carmex cherry
My lips are severely chapped from being on Accutane. My brother always raves about his Carmex so I thought I'd try the Carmex in the cherry tube for easy application... I feel that rose balm works better and is more pleasant overall (it's basically a tin of $5 rose scented vaseline and it works great!). In my opinion, Carmex Cherry tube is a mediocre product at a very low price.
