With the launch of this tube gloss, Estée Lauder took a step out of the "your mom's brand" territory into more fashionista-friendly terrain. It's non-sticky, delightfully glossy and comes in 15 classic shades. (Tip: Blush is a nice neutral.) Although it's one step in the fashionista evolution, they haven't nailed the flavor -- it's so strongly perfumed, it'll make unpleasant repeat appearances on your water bottle throughout the day.

Still my "mama's" make-up!
But I love it anyway! Whenever I think of Estee Lauder I think of my mom and grandma. Every time my mom buys the gift with purchase, she always gives me the lip glosses and these are just fabulous. Admittedly, I would never buy them myself; I am a frugalista if there ever was one! Surprisingly, these glosses are not what I would typically like. They tend to be a little thicker (longer staying powe...read morer!), a tad sticky if too much is applied, and as the editor commented, perfumey. But I still love them. They are shiny and can last a few hours, rather than a few minutes. And for whatever reason, the taste and smell of them doesn't bother me a bit. In fact, strangely enough, I like it. A Jewel!
I have "Jewel" and I tell you you must honestly go to the department store and try the colors on. Online, this gloss looks magenta but on me, it is a sheer, beautiful plum, shimmery gloss. It goes on smooth with a color that really suits me. It smells and tastes of fig, which is what all Estee Lauder lip products smell/taste like and I find it quite pleasant. I would use a lip brush as opposed to just squeezing it on and the color of Jewel goes on very nice atop Plum Fizz Lipstick. Strong Scented Gloss
