Carbon black - lasts all day and perfect for blondes!
I literally have invisible lashes because of my blonde hair. Not only does this thicken them, but it lasts a long time. Good

it's ok, I guess
I have to kind of scrape off the excess from the brush so I don't get rediculous clumps. It's not bad overall, but it can get clumpy & flakes a bit. I used to love L'Oreal's Featherlash, but I guess that's discontued, so this is what I bought in my attempt to find a replacement. the best mascara!

not my favorite mascara
The do make your lashes longer looking and voluminous, put they go flaky and it's bothersome on the eyes. My eyelashes look thick, but not, nice thick, more like full of makeup thick, and I don't like it. After I put the mascara on, I do a toilet paper trick to basically wipe out all that excess of mascara and they end up looking pretty good. The original is the best.
I've been using the Voluminous line for over 15 years now, with consistently good results – I just buy whichever formula is on sale. I do find the new "Naturale" produces results that are a little less rich and full, and the waterproof can be a pain to take off (I find that soap and water doesn't do the trick, I have to use a lot of eye makeup remover – on the other hand it...read more really lasts and doesn't flake). I also notice that a tube doesnt last me as long as it used to – either my middle-aged eye lashes need more mascara than they used to or L'Oreal is skimping a bit! Overall, the original formula is still the best. Before trying Voluminous I had never found a mascara that really gave my thick but fine lashes the oomph I was looking for. The competitors either left my lashes looking spindly; or, worse, flaked off and irritated my eyes. The thick Voluminous brush reaches in to coat even my shortest, finest lashes, defining and extending them to their richest and fullest – without clumping, flaking, or looking fake. I routinely get compliments on my lashes – people think its me, not the mascara. (I even gave my sister-in-law Voluminous for her wedding day – trust me, I LIKE her!) In most circumstances the regular mascara is dramatic and long lasting. If you use a heavy under eye moisturizer, cry easily (I do!), or want to wear your mascara to the beach, swimming, or playing sports, try the waterproof version. You'll get the same lush results, just watch out if you add a second coat, it can get a little thick. A side note, I recently switched ALL of my makeup to Bare Escentuals – with only two exceptions.
