I ended getting these eyeshadows as part of a online sale and they are pretty great considering the cost. Pros: the color blends easily, can go on heavy or light for different effects, when mixed with water they are great for a highly pigmented eyeliner, some of the colors have a nice sheer shimmer that's not too much. Cons: I have oily skin to start, so when I use these eyeshadows by themselve...read mores I tend to see creasing after a couple of hours. I love these!
I have almost every color in this collection. ELF often does these special sales where with a purchase you can get 10 free mineral eyeshadows, so thats how I got mine. These colors are amazingly pigmented and they definitely have great staying power. I like that some shades are matte, some are shimmery, and some are glittery. There's a nice variety of colors and I hope they come out with more shades! E.L.F.'s mineral eyeshadows are very pigmented and long-lasting. The colors are beautiful and there is a generous amount of product in each container. For $3 apiece, you really can't go wrong. I love this eyeshadow for so so so so so so so so so so so many reasons! first of all its only 3 dollars! how much better of a price are you going to get then 3 dollars? Second there is alot of the product in the container verses most of Elfs other products that have like barley anything in the container. I have the shade called celebrity and love it because the color is not too different from my ...read moreskin tone but it has this sheer sparkle to it that brightens my eyes! It literally makes them pop! The shimmer is so beautiful and can make any drab eye look gorgeous! Some things you may need to watch out for is overusing the product. A little goes a long way especially with the dark colors. If you have a dark brown be sure to apply very little and do not put too much of the product on at once or you may end up looking like you were hit in the face and have a black eye. Also I recomend you are very carful when applying this because it is a powder and will fall off the brush and onto your face and you do not want this to fall on yoru cheeks because you will have random splotches of shimmer on your face and will look weird. something I recomend you should do is put a lid primer on your lids before applying because as nice and pretty as this eyeshadow is, it does not last all day. It kind of looks faded and makes your face look gross if you go too long without reapplying and if your wearing eyeliner with it. So adding a bit of primer will make it last longer and look a whole lot better. Fantastic!
This is a great, inexpensive product! You cannot beat the quality of their products and unparalleled prices! The reason I gave it a 9 instead of an all out 10 is because there is a bit of fallout from this product. Which can get tricky with the darker shades. Got 10 of these for a promotion, love them all. The colors are not exactly what I expected from the pictures online, some were much darker, some that looked purple were pinks but it evened out because the pinks I got turned out to be purple. When I made my first purchase on elf, I got 10 free mineral eyeshadows. They were my favorite part of my purchase. The eyeshadows are pigmented and Their available in matte and shimmery.
