I normally steer away from tinted moisturizers because they either make me too oily, or make my skin feel dry because there's not really much moisture in them. When Nars jumped on the tinted moistur...read moreizer bandwagon so late in the game compared to other brands, I had faith because I knew that Nars was holding back to create something that was going to excel above other tinted moisturizers. First off, there are NINE colors to choose from--which is plenty more than the average three or four that brands usually make. Therefore, you're more likely to find a shade that is actually going to fit you and you're not going to look awkward with a mask of a different color. There's spf 30 in this too--which is quite common among other moisturizers. This isn't going to leave you with a shiny slick like other moisturizers can, it leaves you with a dewy complexion (hence the name Radiance). What I find that separates this from the other brands is that this makes claims that it can REDUCE hyperpigmentation and even the skin tone in as little as four weeks. I do have a bit of pigmentation on my chin from hormonal acne, but I'm curious to see if I see any improvements (it's far too soon to tell). I feel that I do get quite a good amount of coverage with this--far more than other tinted moisturizers. Of course you're not going to cover everything, but I noticed that my complexion looked SO much more even, even though I could still see a few dark spots. A lot of people are going to freak out when they see the $42 price tag, but they do not realize that you get a MUCH bigger bottle than other tinted moisturizers which are close to price in range. So far, I think you get your money's worth. Even before the tinted moisturizers officially launched in Sephora stores (when they were only available at Nars boutiques), within a MONTH, this product has already created a cult following and in most places are already selling out. Nars Tinted Moisturizer
I have been trying all sorts of tinted moisturizers with SPF and I have now tried the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 and I love it! I tried the medium shade and even though I have light skin, it blended right in! This covered my red acne marks, my sun spots, my hyperpigmentation, and completely evened out my skin tone. This has one of the higher SPF counts but doesn't smell or feel like a sunscreen. So far, I would have to say the Nars Tinted Moisturizer is in 1st place! Good but didn't live up to hype
I bought this after reading so many rave reviews all over the place about it. It does give a pretty glow that's for sure but it wasn't miraculous enough for me to keep it after spending $42. Had it been cheaper, it probably would have been a keeper but the results weren't spectacular enough. Amazing, does the job of a great moisturizing foundation!
This is a tinted moisturizer that breaks the normal tinted moisturizer rules. It has amazing coverage and makes you look fresh-faced and natural, yet it also makes your skin completely even and flawless. I have dry skin, so I use a moisturizer under this, but for someone with normal skin I bet that this alone would do the job. Great shades and great staying power. Best Tinted Moisturizer!
I wanted something sheer and something that wouldn't feel heavy. I tried NARs and I wouldn't use anything else. It is so light and smooth and also has great coverage (at least for me). At first I was a little concern that it was $42, but it felt so great to apply AND the bottle last for a long time! Short duration of protection, opaque
I read the label on this product this morning and edited my review with a significant reduction in my rating. The instructions indicate that you should apply 2 grams and repeat every 2 hours. At only 50 mg per tube, and a conservative application estimate of 4 times per day, the tube would last about six days. It is a nice product, but more opaque than I expected. It is not nearly as sheer as other company's tinted moisturizers. It acts more like a foundation. This is fine for someone who wants that, but I rarely wear foundation. The texture is good, but it takes a while to sink in. A good product, just not for me. Wow, Amazing.
I had never use a foundation before trying this tinted moisturizer. I take well care of my skin so i have never had the need to use foundation. I bought this product, because it has no parabens, fragrance free, and no harsh chemicals. I use all natural products on my skins. First of all I check out all the ingredients of the products I am going to invest in. Alcohol- dries the skin, sucks out the moisture of your face. That is a clear no no in my products. Parabens- They are like preservatives, they are use so the products do not perish. It is a harsh chemical. Heck No!!!!!!!! Fragrance- Like a book I once read said. you do not need to go through the fragrance department everytime you clean, or moisturize you skin. some reviewers say oh i love the smell of this of that" Your face does not need that smell. I bought this after a sales rep recommended this too me, when i was asking about quick on the go coverage. As someone who has very dry skin this does a awesome job at both moisturizing without being shiny. The best I've tried so far! (with only 1 little problem)
So I've tried many other brands of tinted moisturizers such as MAC, clinique, Smashbox, and even drug store brands. NARS by far had the absolute best color selection and match for my skin tone! They have a multitude of varying undertones & it offers more coverage than other brands without feeling too heavy like a foundation. I found that other brands' colors were a bit off, either too dark & oran...read moregy or too light & ashy. I also love the fact that it has Tumeric extract & sea algae in it! My one & only issue with it why it didn't get 20 stars is that it oils up on my skin after application & I already have very oily skin. However I just use an oil blotting sheet with rice powder & it mattifies the entire look & it stays matte for the rest of the day, it doesn't keep oiling up! New Staple
First off, this product is pricy. $40 from Sephora. Second of all, it's worth it. This is one of my favorite tinted moisturizers. I love how lightweight it feels and it offers even coverage. I actually purchased the one that's a shade darker than me because the one my complexion made me look a bit washed out and pale. I suggest everyone go up a shade if you want that tinted look.
