The mineral matte is better..
The original Bare minerals makeup would get too shiny on me after a while. I use the matte now, it's much better and covers imperfections much better than the original and comes in all shades, mix a tiny bit of the original with the matte to create a supple look. I tried the compact version as well, to me, it's more like a powder than a foundation and too dry, imo not my favorite version.
