Olay Luminous Tone
About my skin: I have combination skin-- oily on my nose and forehead, normal on my cheeks and chin (though I do get an occasional dry spot on my chin, depending on the season). I also have minor dark spots from old acne scars. Firstly, if you are looking for a scar/spot fader, I would look into something else. I used it for over the recommended eight weeks and saw no fading of scars. The formula ...read moreitself has ingredients to help fade scars, but I suspect the jar packaging may be causing a breakdown in the efficacy of this cream's ingredients. In any case, I was not too worried about spot fading. I was looking for a day moisturizer and this worked decently in that aspect. It was moisturizing enough for my oily to normal spots without causing my to get greasy or oily over the day and my makeup sat nicely on it, but it didn't do anything for my occasional dry spots. Since I rarely have to deal with dryness, this did not concern me. It also says you can use it as a night cream but I really only found it to be a good daytime product-- even with my oily skin, I did not find it moisturizing enough for a nighttime product. This product is very strongly scented, so if you are sensitive to scents, I recommend finding another product to try. My least favorite aspect though, has to be application. It's strange because while the cream isn't heavy and spreads easily, it takes such a long time to "sink in". At first application, the product felt a little sticky and filmy (I even felt a need to wash my hands after application) but after about ten minutes of wear, my skin would feel normal. If you wanted to try it, I would suggest finding a cheap airless pump and transfering the product as it might keep the product from breaking down. This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful
