Many people gravitate towards ELF's eyeshadow palettes because of how much they resemble the Naked Palettes as well as the wide array of basic colors they provide. Sadly, the quality of this palette is pretty poor. While the darker shades are highly pigmented, the lighter shades are barely visible once applied to the lid. The only way I was able to get the pigment to show was by wetting my brush u...read moresing Mac's fix+ and even then it was pretty hard, not to mention patchy. As much as I tried to blend the darker colors in the crease (which was incredibly difficult) it was super patchy. Now that I got the cons over with I'll move onto the pros. This is a super affordable dupe for the highly-appraised Naked palette. For only $10 dollars it's definitely a steal and a great way to get into the magical world of makeup. I'm sure if you took the time to really learn how to build the shadow up and make it less patchy it could look nice, but being someone who owns better quality eyeshadows I decided to give this palette to my little sister. ELF has a matte palette that has better color payoff. If you are looking to start getting into makeup without paying a lot of money this is a great way to start; however, if you own eyeshadow palettes from brands such as Urban Decay, Tarte, etc. this would be a waste of money. There are many things that I can appreciate from ELF such as their brushes, blushes, and baked highlighters. If you are looking to invest in an eyeshadow palette I would invest in a higher quality palette, but just because one product did not work for them doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t explore the other options the beauty brand has to offer.
