Look of the Week: Isla Fisher

If you ask me to name my top three favorite hair and makeup looks, I'd probably say Old Hollywood waves, a great cat eye, and bright lipstick -- in no particular order. So it's pretty obvious why every element of Isla Fisher's look at The Great Gatsby premiere spoke to me.

"I love when Isla looks like an old time, glamorous Hollywood movie star," said makeup artist Katey Denno. On the eyes, Denno used Tarte Aqualillies Black Clay Liner to create an inky, winged effect. Of course the pretty, multidimensional lip color was achieved using multiple products. “Lips were first lined with Mac Lip Liner in Beet for a precise edge," said Denno. "I then colored them using a blend of BITE Beauty Luminous Cream Lipstick in Pomegranate and Quince. Finally on top, to set the lips, I blended Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint in Lively -- a deep hot pink.”

Hairstylist Jen Atkin washed Fisher's hair with Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy's Volumizing Root Boost Shampoo and Conditioner before blowing it out and defining sections with a curling iron. She pinned it to one side, and locked it in place with a spritz of hairspray -- so simple, yet seriously glamorous. I'm bookmarking this one for posterity.
