With names like "tiny lizard Tuesday" and "whipped cream Wednesday," it's hard to take dedicated days seriously. (Ok, I made those up, but some of the actual ones are even crazier.) However, there are some days worth recognizing, and Melanoma Monday (today) is definitely one of them.
If you're still wondering why you should care, you're probably not alone -- studies show that Americans don't know much about Melanoma. But Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer, and over 76,000 Americans are diagnosed each year. The good news is that it can be prevented -- wear sunscreen! -- and when it's detected early, the survival rate is high.
Want to take action? Watch this cute video -- for every view, SkinCeuticals will donate a dollar to the Melanoma Research Alliance. And schedule your next dermatologist appointment today -- it could save your life.
