The $7 Find That Gives Me the Softest, Shiniest Hair Ever In the past few months, my hair has taken quite a beating. I've highlighted it, permed it (less weird than it sounds) and started washing it more thanks to an increase in my workout schedule. All that abuse left me with hair that was dull and dry. Sad!
My first instinct was to reach for a leave-in conditioner. But when you have hair as fine as mine, conditioning sprays can, in a cruel twist of fate, be too moisturizing and leave you with greasy, Gollum-like strands. After some trial and a lot of error, I got my hair on Garnier Fructis Moisture Lock 10-in-1 Rescue Leave-In Spray, $6.99, and was instantly hooked. It uses a combination of fruit proteins, vitamins B3 and B6, cactus extract and witchcraft to thoroughly hydrate hair without turning it into a limp mess. It also adds tons of shine -- I've all but forgotten about my hair oils and serums -- and protects against heat damage and breakage. And it has a subtle scent that is legitimately amazing -- fruity but not cloying. Basically, don't be surprised if you catch me practicing my best shampoo commercial hair flip. --Allie Flinn
