8. Knit one, purl two Learn to knit or crochet. Ask your mom or grandma to show you how (if they don't know how there are countless videos on YouTube), and start making a scarf for next winter. This does double duty: It is an absurdly soothing activity AND it keeps your phone out of your hands while you're watching Netflix/riding the subway/waiting for your friend to show up.
