Angel Waves We were swept away by the whimsical strands at the Rodarte show. Hair stylist Odile Gilbert's vision inspired our inner poets, as she created effortless angel waves to match the femininity and romantic feel of the show. "There is an angelic innocence to the hair that balances beautifully against the intricate clothing," Gilbert said. "The look is effortless; like she just woke up like this and embraces her unique texture."
To create "undone and natural" waves, Gilbert prepped the hair using Schwarzkopf Professional Osis Flatliner Flattening Iron Serum, $21, to seal strands for controlled texture. Next, Gilbert dried small sections, working hair into a twist and gently squeezing on the hair to create loose waves. For the ultimate lived-in look, Gilbert used Schwarzkopf Professional Osis+ Dust It Mattifying Powder, $23.50, still twisting and squeezing hair, to get that beautiful texture and wave.
The final angelic touch was a gorgeous, live floral headpiece.
