XXL Ponytail In addition to being a pro on the tennis court, Anna Kournikova also gives us major hair envy. But keep in mind, this voluminous ponytail is nothing like your low-maintanence workout pony. Wear it to the office or even for a night out.(Your hair's not that full? No problem, there's probably some clip-in extensions at work here.)
1. "To re-create [this look], forget typical roller sets and opt for Velcro hair strips to fashion loosely sculpted curls with adjustable, no pull strips," says Gonzalez. Take two-inch sections of hair and mist with a thermal heating spray like Living Proof Restore Revitalizing Spray, laying the Velcro hair strip underneath. Roll the hair into a roller shape and use clips to hold in place.
2. Once all your hair is in the Velcro rollers, blast your hair with a blow dryer for five minutes to set the style. After you've take out all the clips and Velcro strips, comb your fingers through to loosen up waves.
3. Use a paddle brush (we like Olivia Garden Ionic Massage Bamboo Brush) to style your hair into a high ponytail. "Be careful not to brush all the way through," says Gonzalez. "This will disrupt the waves."
4. Take a piece of hair from the tail of your ponytail and wrap around the base, hiding your hair elastic. "[She] has a cool effect due to her hair color. By picking two small sections of hair, one dark and one light, this will create the double band look."
5. Finish with a flexible hold hairspray. (Okay, we were wrong. Low ponytails are not the only hairstyle to master this season.)
