Strobing Is the New Contouring. Here's How to Do It Flawlessly (With GIFs)Meet strobing, the superpretty, low-key alternative to contouring |
Strobing Step 5: Start With Your Brow Bone Arlt says to start with a cream or liquid product. I'm using M.A.C. Cream Colour Base, $22, in Pearl. For darker skin tones, Arlt recommends the same product in Bronze. These are both yellow-based highlighters, which he loves for looking luminous.
Press the product into your skin using your fingers, because it warms the product and helps it melt seamlessly into your foundation. Dab a small amount onto your ring finger (it's easier to add more than it is to take away if you apply too much), and apply in a tapping motion, starting at your brow bone and bringing it down to your upper cheekbone. "This will automatically make the cheekbones look contoured without shading them with makeup," says Arlt.
