There's no better time than Halloween to embrace the nail art trend. Unlike most holidays where you have to play it safe (you're not going to show up to Easter Mass with a 3D bunny on your thumb), Halloween is made for going all out. After all, the entire purpose of the holiday is to completely transform yourself -- right down to the spookiest Halloween nail designs.
Counting down the days until we get to play dress up, we've thought about every detail of our costume, and scoured Pinterest for killer Halloween nail designs (see what I did there?) we can wear all month. We even rounded up the best Halloween nail art we've seen this year. The best part? They're all easy nail designs you can pull off on your own. While manicure money is always well spent, we know you're saving your moola for that half-priced candy the day after Halloween.
BOO-yeah.

Glowing Jack-O'-Lantern Nails
Are you an expert pumpkin carver? Well, you don't have to rely on your front porch to show off your seasonal masterpiece. These glowing jack-o'-lantern nails are quick and easy to mimic. Start by applying a white base coat, and follow with two coats of OPI Nail Lacquer in Chromatic Orange. Then, create spooky faces with OPI's Black Onyx, and fill in the rest of your nail so that only the orange faces of your pumpkin show. Finish with OPI Top Coat.
These stitched up nails have us channeling our inner Sally Skellington. To pull off this Halloween nail art, pick three of your favorite nail colors. We recommend starting with a seasonally appropriate orange polish, like Essie Nail Polish in Sexy Divide, Fear or Desire and Vices Versa. Then, use a black nail art brush to "stitch" each color together for a spooky-chic look.
Paying tribute to the most famous monster of all time isn't as tough to pull off as you might think. Since rocking an ugly look is Frankenstein's claim to fame, you definitely don't need a steady hand to draw his frazzled hair and frightful stitches. Try Essie Nail Polish in Shake your $$ Maker to get Frankenstein's green "glow."
The timeless French manicure will always be in style, but this Halloween we're adding a fun twist to the classic look by adding black cat tips. Need this look on your hands right now? Apply a clear base coat (try Wet n Wild Shine Base Coat) before creating two triangle shapes on the side of the nail with a black polish. Next, create a half moon shape between those triangles and fill it in to create your furry friends. Once dry, paint two white dots for the eyes and later, using a nail art brush, paint a thin black line down the center of the eye.
Girl, those tips have never looked more purrrfect.
