9 Products That Prove Hair Removal Doesn't Have to Suck

Toss that grungy disposable razor. With these new hair removal products, you'll (almost) enjoy the de-fuzzing process
Of course we're all thinking about body hair this time of year, but don't neglect your upper lip just because you're worried about your bikini. If you have some peach fuzz to deal with, this new pen-like applicator from Bliss is just the thing. It's discreet, smells amazing, and gets the job done in a flash.

I have an army of razors in my shower, and they all serve different functions. If I've recently self-tanned my legs, this is the one I choose. The moisturizing solid that surrounds the blades acts as a buffer to keep the razor from sloughing off your tan. It also has aloe and vitamin E, so if you happened to get too much actual sun, it won't irritate your skin.

Do-it-yourself waxing takes some practice, but once you've got it down, you may never go back to a salon. If you've been scared to try it because you have sensitive or breakout-prone skin, this zinc oxide-based wax will be your new best friend. It's shockingly gentle, yet it takes care of fine to medium hair without a problem.

I never thought I cared if my razor smelled good -- that is, until I smelled this one. The new Sugarberry scent from Venus & Olay is sweet and summery, which is exactly what you want before you throw on a sundress. Of course it also has five blades that glide easily, and it really moisturizes as you shave.

If shaving makes your skin red and angry, this shave lotion is for you. It's packed with soothing chamomile, calendula, and primrose oils to calm skin. Plus, it's aloe-based, which provides a nice gel buffer between the blades and your sensitive flesh.

Vanna White is Jenny McCarthy's hair removal guru. (Trust me, this is going somewhere.) "When I first moved to LA and I was broke and looking for work, I hung out with Vanna because we had the same agent," says McCarthy. "And Vanna told me about laser hair removal. She always had her arms up because she was turning the letters, so she had to be hair-free."

After a few laser hair removal sessions at the dermatologist, McCarthy ran out of cash and turned to waxing. She was satisfied with the results, but she was annoyed at the constant maintenance. Years later, she picked up the Tria Laser Hair Removal System, $449, and now she's all about DIY hair removal. "I sit on the couch and laser my legs while I'm watching TV," she says. "It's just so easy."

The moral of Jenny's story? Hair removal shouldn't cost thousands of dollars, and it shouldn't be wildly time consuming or painful. Laser isn't for everyone, but there are so many amazing options out there -- options that don't include using a dull, disposable razor.
