After rummaging through hundreds of lip shades, I ultimately decided to go with demi-matte lipstick Lancôme L'Absolu Rouge Definition in Le Pourpre and Lancôme Le Lipstique Lip Colouring Stick with Brush in Mauvelle, to create Jenner's sultry red ombre lip. In my mind, the rich colors would make my lips pop, and the two products perfectly complimented each other -- giving me a perfect ombre combination. However, ombre lips have never been my strong suit, so I was definitely going to need to call in some backup.

After teaming up with Total Beauty editor and lipstick master Allie Flinn, we managed to recreate a look as dramatic as Kylie's. And while I was thrilled to be rocking such a trendy lip look, when I looked in the mirror, my lips still felt puny by comparison. I felt completely and utterly defeated.

Just when all hope was lost, the lip Gods presented me with an opportunity to meet the 18-year-old beauty icon in person. Kylie was hosting a launch party at Dash Boutique in Los Angeles for her brand new Kylie Lip Kit by Kylie Jenner (which, we're told, sold out in under a minute). I only screamed giddily like a little girl for five minutes.

When I arrived, Kylie personally greeted me (yes, I died a little inside). She even dished out some of her beauty secrets in an exclusive interview. Once I finished playing the hard-hitting journalist, I asked my icon if we could nab a photo together in the photo booth she had set up at her event, and prepared to pucker like a mother trucker.

Then something crazy happened. After a minute of snapping photos with King Kylie (swoon), I looked at the pictures and realized...my pucker was f**king awesome. While Jenner's lips were clearly bigger than mine, my lips were definitely holding their own, and made me proud. While I very well might have been high off meeting the reality star in person, I was definitely on cloud nine as my lips never looked bigger or more badass.

While I wish I could tell you I remained satisfied with my lip size after meeting Jenner, it's just not the truth. In fact, meeting her only made me more motivated to make them even bigger. I now spend my days limiting my Instagram stalking of the starlet to two hours a day and only allowing myself to watch one lip tutorial a day. My beauty closet, which used to contain mostly mascaras and eyeliners, is now overflowing with lipstick shades in every color. So, while Kylie Jenner's lips might have turned me into a luscious-lip-loving lunatic, it's definitely amped up my beauty routine (lips so on fleek).

Oh, and I have my follow up appointment next week to make them bigger. #sorrynotsorry
