The cramped corridors of any backstage NYFW show can feel a bit frenzied, but there's a true sense of excitement permeating the hairspray-dense air, too. Excitement over the beautiful runway presentation that's just minutes away, excitement over the collaborate efforts of the hair, makeup, nail, and skin care teams, and excitement over the new looks — and yeah, new products — the world is about to discover. One of the coolest aspects of poking around backstage is spotting new, sometimes not yet launched, products. We're sharing nine of them with you today.

Backstage at Libertine, we spotted makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan creating the SS2020 version of the designer's go-to, grungy black eye. To create the look, Deenihan was using Lorac's just-launched Lux Diamond Palette, $39, which features three different textures in 20 different shades. Bawdy CBD Butt Balm & Clay Butt Mask
Bawdy Beauty caused a bit of a stir in the skincare market when they launched butt sheet masks. (Yes, literal sheet masks for your bum.) Elie Camoro, the lead hair stylist for Frederic Fekkai backstage at Pamella Roland, created sleek, near-wet hairstyles on all the models. To get the look, he utilized one of the brand's newest products (which launched just days after the show): The Pure Mist. It's an ultra-fine hair mist that works double time to hydrate parched hair, nix frizz, protect against heat styling, UV rays, and the environment, all while ensuring hair stays super soft.

Maybelline New York Cheek Heat Blush, $10
You'll have to wait a little bit longer to meet Maybelline's new Cheek Heat (January 2020), which was used by key makeup artist Erin Parsons at both Christian Siriano and Alice + Olivia. Cheek Heat is a completely new category for the famed makeup brand; it's a lightweight gel cream blush that comes in six different shades. The models were wearing Berry Flame at Christian Siriano and Fuschia Spark at Alice + Olivia, and the color was applied with a fluffy brush across the cheeks.
