  • Isn't it bizarre that as women we feel sub-human with an unkempt bikini line and bare toenails? When I'm in yoga class (stress-squashing equals better skin as these expert tips prove) and haven't gotten a pedicure in a while, I feel really self-conscious about how gnarly my toes look lacking color -- I know, I know, that's an un-yogic thing to worry about. As for nail color, I get so accustomed to having a fun splash of color on my nails that when it starts to chip and I have to go au natural, I feel like I'm half naked.

  • A friend of mine has nailed the smoky eye look. Well, I should preface that by letting you know that she's also drop dead gorgeous (like the super pretty celebs in this spring hair and makeup photo gallery) and has really big, round eyes. Nonetheless, her eye makeup isn't overly perfect, which makes it that much more enviable. It instead has an effortless, semi-smudgy, aloof-cool look to it (see aloof-cool master Chloë Sevigny's latest 'do). So of course it makes me want to attempt the smoky eye look too.

  • My fantasy haircut (hey, don't laugh -- guys have fantasy football) is a dark, wiggy bob -- if you don't know what a wiggy bob looks like, scope it out here. I don't have the balls to do it -- yet -- because my hair is currently super long and blonde, so that would require a gigantic leap to the other end of the hairstyle spectrum. To satisfy my boredom in the interim, last October I bought a short, brunette wig with blunt bangs (see the best celeb fringe here), and built my flapper girl Halloween costume around it. And though I've been so tempted to rock the wig on a night out, I haven't had the guts to actually do it. So on a day-to-day basis, I try to at least style my hair differently. I go from braids to buns, headbands to half-up styles, straight to wavy, etc. (I stole most of the looks from this photo gallery of 16 New Quick Hairstyles to Try).

  • My introduction to beauty began when, at three years old, my big sis dressed me up as Cyndi Lauper -- she got to be Madonna, of course, but that's another story. She decorated my face with blue eyeshadow, overly-rouged cheeks, fire-engine red lips and a hair 'do shellacked with Aqua Net. You can only imagine how scary I looked (kinda like the celebs' on this makeup don'ts list). It was obviously long before I started experimenting with an everyday, no-makeup makeup look (learn how to master it here) and creating normal non-updo 'dos with my mom's hairspray.

  • I'm kind of OCD -- in general -- but especially when it comes to taking care of my skin. I literally give myself a mini-facial each night before I go to bed by washing, toning and using anti-aging creams galore (like these winning anti-aging serums). A little pathetic, I know. I also try to resist the urge to pick and I stay out of the sun, and I even follow these steps to get a flawless face. But I still kinda freak out that I should be doing more to slow the inevitable process of aging.

  • I'm pretty conservative when it comes to shopping, but it somehow usually backfires on me. Case in point: I don't buy shoes often, so when I do finally allow myself to shop for them, I'll buy two (or six!) pairs at once. The same is true for makeup -- I'll wear my mascara (see a list of The Best Mascaras. Ever. here) until it's dry and crusty, but when I finally hit the makeup counter I splurge on a whole new cosmetic wardrobe from my lashes to my lips (take this quiz to discover your best makeup colors).

  • Oprah is an American treasure and I've always fantasized about being able to watch her show (the 'ol day job gets in the way of it though and my TiVo is already maxed out). My mom was lucky enough to be in the audience during a trip to Chicago though. It was a show plugging the film "Mona Lisa Smile" (see Julia Roberts and other celebs' best hot-date hair here), so she anticipated getting some sort of snazzy freebie. Unfortunately she got a lame paint by numbers thingy under her seat -- not even a DVD of the movie! Big bum-mer.

  • I missed the debut of the new show "Fly Girls'' -- a reality show about five female Virgin America flight attendants that premiered Wednesday on the CW. It got mixed reviews so I'm not sure if I'm missing much, but after seeing pics online, I couldn't help but notice that the ladies on this show are gorgeous and seem to be bringing sexy back to flying. (Clearly they're using travel-friendly beauty products like the ones on this list.)

  • If you geek out on all things SATC (see photos of the "girls" best and worst looks here) the way I do, then you probably get off on any news about the sequel -- no spoilers here -- out this May (T minus 2 months and counting …). So did you hear the latest morsel? John Corbett (AKA Aidan) Confirms Appearance in "Sex and the City 2."

  • Well, of course that made my mind reel -- will Carrie and Aidan get back together?! Which brings me to the question: Do you play for Team Big or Team Aidan? The gals at my office are divided …
