Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation
I found this foundation to be extremely lightweight on the skin and left my skin very matte. The coverage was light to medium and didn't feel greasy at all. I would definitely recommend blending it in with a beauty blender or flat top kabuki for flawless high def results. Ok foundation for drug store brand
It's hard to go back to a full foundation after using a bb cream the past year. This foundation does seem a bit heavy but does go on smoothly. Unfortunately the soft beige was a bit too orange for my skin tone. To try out the matte claim I applied the foundation before 3 hours of salsa dancing classes and to my surprise I didn't look oily or even overly sweaty. Pretty Matte, But Can't Be Layered
I was given a sample of this to try for a review. I thought the shade I got was a pretty true color. The texture was soft, velvety, but not "moussy". The product has medium coverage, and goes on smoothly. It finishes matte. I have to say though, the coverage cannot be layered, as it sometimes can have a cakey finish if you try to layer on the product. Otherwise, it is a pretty good product, considering it is a drugstore foundation. I do have sensitive combo skin- this product didn't enhance the "combo skin" look, which was good. However, it is okay on my skin. It somewhat makes it react to the product- I did get a few blemishes using it. Also- it did tend to rub off if you ever touched your face. Not horrible, not fantastic
I was iffy on this product. I offered an even and smooth finish, but it was obvious that I was wearing makeup. I could feel it on my face all day and I could definitely see it. I don't like looking like I have foundation caked on my face. It also rubbed off easily onto anything my face came into contact with. Hands, clothes, glasses.. Above Average
This foundation has great coverage (medium - full) and I thought it blended nicely. I used a Real Techniques stippling brush to apply, and IMO, I think it worked really great. The product wasn't TOO heavy feeling on my face, I actually found it to be pretty accurate to the description and mousse-like and airy! I have definitely tried lots of liquid foundations that feel a lot heavier than this...read more product. I did find, however, that it got a little cakey looking when I was all said and done with all of my makeup application (concelaer, powder bronzer, powder blush, and setting powder), but I solved that problem by spraying some Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray on my face. That really pulled all the products together. I guess I could attribute the cakeyness to the powder products I was using, but I wouldn't go without those, so I can't be toooo sure. I think the foundation lasted VERY well through these ridiculously and off-season hot and humid days we've been having. I got a good 8 - 9 hours of wear without much fading or quality loss, and I have insanely oily skin that most makeup just slides right off of. In combination with using my normal arsenal of oil control products that I would not go a day without (mattifying lotion, blotting/setting powder, and setting spray) this foundation fit right in and performed awesomely. I can't say how this foundation would perform solely on it's lonesome, but I would also never just wear a foundation straight up on it's own. Who can pull that off?! The feel

Hated it
I really wanted to like this product but I have not one good thing to say about it. It was so heavy feeling, not at all a lightweight product, I found it difficult to blend as well. It really made my enlarged pores on my nose stand out. Also, I got soft beige and it was too orange for my skin tone, especially visible in the sunlight. Not good for dry skin
I seriously had high hopes for this product, but it fell a bit flat for me. This product would be great for something with smooth, normal skin, just looking to cover redness, but for my normal/dry...and sometimes combination (typically I have mostly normal skin with dry patches scattered about) it was a flop. Product testing
I received this foundation in soft beige from TotalBeauty to test out. The consistency is thick and does look cakey if it's not blended well. The shade blended well with my skin tone. I don't have to use a thick layer to get complete coverage. The coverage lasts long throughout the day. I have combination and sensitive skin so the foundation accentuated my dry skin but added a matte finish to oil...read morey parts (especially the t-zone) of my face. This works best on oily skin and not so much on dry skin unless you combine it with a moisturizer. It provides great coverage on redness and acne marks.
