Dry shampoos were a total game changer.
A good one gives you texture, extra volume, and can freshen up a blowout that’s a few days old. And because most of them work so well, the category blew up fast. Practically every major hair company launched a dry shampoo in the last couple of years -- and practically every woman in America added one to her styling products arsenal.
So it’s not exactly a shocker that the beauty powers-that-be are now launching dry conditioners as quickly as they can.
The verdict? While we’re still testing all the early samples we can get our hands on, we’re psyched. Dry shampoos are veritable miracle-workers for gals needing more volume and less grease, but those of us with curly, dry, or damaged hair are way better off with a moisture-rich leave-in.… See more »

Need an idea for your next date night? Check out "Hope Springs," the new movie staring Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones, and Steve Carell, and from the director of "The Devil Wears Prada." It's about a married couple (Streep and Jones) who need some help spicing things up in their lives. So they head to renowned couples specialist (Carell) for help. As you can guess, plenty of hilarity ensues.
It's a great movie to see with your guy, and of course, if you are making it a date night, you'll want to look your best. Check out a few "date night dos and don'ts" below for help:
Do: Wear a sheer lipstick or gloss (that way your date won't end up with bright lipstick on his lips when you inevitably start smooching).
Don't: Over-do it on the perfume. You only want him to be able to smell it… Read More »

"I wanted a shade that would work on everyone," says Brooke. "Not only does Madonna wear it, so do all of her dancers. It's flattering on every skin tone." The red is a true, classic red without blue or orange undertones. The formulation is amazing: It's a liquid lipstick that dries to a velvety stain. And, as an added bonus, it's double-sided with the… See more »

Make some room on your vanities for a few diva lacquers.
Grammy winning songstress Mariah Carey will be joining the ranks of Justin Beiber, the Kardashians, and Nicki Minaj with the launch of her very own nail polish line.
WWD reports that the new American Idol judge has just signed on for two polish collections so far. The line perfectly coincides with the release of her first album since having her twins in April 2011. The first line of lacquers will launch in January next year with eight new shades, followed by the second soon after.
As huge Mimi fans we can't wait to see what glamorous colors will result from this partnership (our guesses: sparkling purple and hot pink!).
