The Best Beauty Looks From the 2014 Met GalaFrom Sarah Jessica Parker's mega updo to Joan Smalls' statement lip and more |
Elizabeth Olsen's Textured Pony It may have been her first Met Gala, but Olsen's fresh take on the classic pony made her look like a seasoned pro. Stylist Mark Townsend created the textured pony by using a double-barrel curling wand to produce uneven waves throughout the hair. For volume at the crown, Townsend sprayed Dove Oxygen Moisture Root Lift Spray, working through with his fingers and blow drying.
For that slightly undone look, Townsend divided the hair into four sections. Using the underneath section, he created a ponytail at the nape of the neck. Next, he pulled the two side sections straight back and used bobby pins to loosely secure the hair before pulling the top section back and pinning it together with the side pieces.
