Must-Haves:
"Travelling from Australia, you always have layovers. With layovers, there is always a risk you are going to get stuck somewhere overnight or suitcases are going to get lost when they change planes (this has happened to me many times) -- so, you're stuck at your destination without your packed toiletries bag. When this happens, I rely on these staples I take on the plane. With this lot of goodies, I can look fresh and made up for the next flight, an evening dinner, or that event I'm racing to.
My first must-have is the It Cosmetics Tightline Full Lash Length Mascara Primer. It defines every last single hair but doesn't clump. It gives you a well-groomed, but not too 'made up' look. For an eyeliner, I use the Brow Lash Fix Brown Liquid Liner. This one stays on for hours, won't smudge, and doubles up as a brow filler if you need it. I'll put on a little bit before I land, as it disappears a bit into my lash line and just makes my eyes look more feline, big and awake.
I have a special trick when it comes to my foundation. I used to wear glasses before I had laser eye surgery, and I had all these leftover contact lens cases. Instead of tossing them, I filled one side with my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and the other with my Lano Everywhere Multi-Cream. Together, I have my foundation and allover cream, and I never have to worry about leakage when airborne.
To keep my lips hydrated from the drying plane ride, I turn to my Holy Grail product: Lano 101 Ointment. I slather this onto my lips every few hours and always arrive at my destination with soft, plump lips.
When I have work meetings all day (and need to look human), I carry around the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette -- as it contains a concealer, a contour cream, a highlighter and a blush. This fab little palette pretty much does all the groundwork on my face once it's moisturized, and leaves my face looking contoured and highlighted in all the right places.
For my signature scent, I like to use Le Soft Perfume Umabel. I love the size of this solid stick perfume, as it's so perfect for travelling. The scent is really light and clean, and has floral undertones with hints of musk and peach. It makes me feel fresh, especially on a crowded plane.
Because planes are especially drying (particularly on long flights from Australia), I like to use the Lano Rose Hand Cream Intense to keep my skin plumped up and to stop it from getting dry and itchy. It's rich and naturally scented with light rose oil. When I need some more moisture on my lips, but I also want subtle color, I'll use the Lano Tinted Balm in Perfect Nude. It's a perfect pink-brown nude that makes your lips glow, but not look crazy pink-red. Plus, the lanolin hydrates at the same time. When I'm traveling, this is the one I use before I go out for the day, every day. I will do a stronger eye and leave the lips nude."
