Actress Eva Mendes is featured in a commercial for new Calvin Klein fragrance Secret Obsession ... but U.S. watchers won't get to see the sultry ad in its full glory. Why the controversy? Lately, Katherine Heigl has been sporting a bob-length, curly hairstyle. It has a bit of a retro feel and I do think it's cute, but I have to wonder if it's aging her. I'm a bit torn about this updo Scarlett Johansson wore to the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala. I think the floral headband is cute and I like the loose strands framing her face but I wish her hair was a little less frizzy. For some reason I have a hard time pairing evening wear with un-smooth strands. What do you think, do you like the look or does she need to run a comb through it?

This past weekend, three friends and I went to check out a recently opened reflexology center in Hollywood, Calif. We were lured in by the $25-per-hour back, neck and foot massages -- pretty tough to resist. The place definitely delivered with very thorough massages. It was my first time getting a professional massage (other than the quick ones that come with manicures and pedicures). It was nice but I don't think I'm going to become a massage addict. Quite frankly, parts of it hurt, which I wasn't prepared for, and the relaxing effects of the massage didn't last very long after I left the salon.

OK, OK, so this is certainly not what you should base your vote on this coming election. But we've gotten a little caught up in the campaign hoopla and want to take a beauty spin on it by comparing the common hairstyles of the two potential first ladies to be.

As you can see, Cindy McCain tends to wear her straight, blonde hair pulled back in a sleek updo. I think it gives her a no-nonsense feel that is quite appropriate in the business or political world.
